சங்கீதம் 1:1-3

1:1 துன்மார்க்கருடைய ஆலோசனையில் நடவாமலும், பாவிகளுடைய வழியில் நில்லாமலும், பரியாசக்காரர் உட்காரும் இடத்தில் உட்காராமலும்,
1:2 கர்த்தருடைய வேதத்தில் பிரியமாயிருந்து, இரவும் பகலும் அவருடைய வேதத்தில் தியானமாயிருக்கிற மனுஷன் பாக்கியவான்.
1:3 அவன் நீர்க்கால்களின் ஓரமாய் நடப்பட்டு, தன் காலத்தில் தன் கனியைத் தந்து, இலையுதிராதிருக்கிற மரத்தைப்போலிருப்பான்; அவன் செய்வதெல்லாம் வாய்க்கும்.

மூன்றாவது வசனத்தின் ஆசீர்வாதங்கள் வேண்டுமென்றால், முதல் இரண்டு வசனங்களிலும் சொல்லப்பட்டிருக்கிற ஐந்து காரியங்களை செய்ய வேண்டும்.

1. துன்மார்க்கருடைய ஆலோசனை. இந்த உலகத்தின் காரியங்களுக்கு நாம் யாரை நம்புகிறோம்? இதோ, பிள்ளைகளுக்கு பரீட்சை முடியப்போகிறது. அடுத்து அவர்கள் என்ன படிக்க வேண்டும் என்று யாரிடம் ஆலோசனை கேட்கிறோம். எந்த தொழில் செய்யலாம், என்ன வியாபாரம் செய்யலாம் – எல்லாம் யாரிடம் கேட்கிறோம். யோசித்துப் பாருங்கள்.

2. பாவிகளுடைய வழி. இன்று அநேக கிறிஸ்தவர்கள் பாவ வாழ்க்கை வாழுகிறவர்களோடு ஒரு பிரச்னையும் இல்லாமல் வாழ்கிறார்கள். சினிமாவுக்குக் கூப்பிட்டால், உடனே கிளம்பு. இந்த நடிகர், அந்த நடிகை பற்றி பேசினால், சந்தோஷமாகப் பேசுவது. கேட்டால், இப்படி தான், கிறிஸ்துவின் அன்பைக் காட்ட முடியுமாம். கிறிஸ்துவின் அன்பு – கல்வாரி சிலுவையில் தம் கடைசி சொட்டு இரத்தத்தையே தந்த அன்பை, இப்படி காட்ட முடியாது. விலகு அவர்களுடைய வழியிலிருந்து.

3. பரியாசக்காரர் உட்காரும் இடம். பாவம் செய்துவிட்டு, அதைப் பற்றி குற்ற உணர்ச்சியே இல்லாமல், அதிலே பெருமை பாராட்டுகிற கூட்டத்தோடு நீங்கள் நேரடியாக உட்காரமல் இருக்கலாம்லானால், டிவியில், அல்லது இன்டர்நெட்டில், நீங்கள் யாரோடு உட்கார்ந்திருக்கிறீர்கள்?

4. கர்த்தருடைய வேதத்தில் பிரியம். கட்டாயத்தினால் அல்ல – பைபிள் படிக்காவிட்டால், நாள் முழுதும் பயமா இருக்கும் என்பதால் அல்ல; பழக்க தோஷத்தினால் அல்ல – சின்ன வயதில் இருந்தே படிச்சு பழகிட்டேன், படிக்காட்டி, ஒரு மாதிரி இருக்கும் என்பதால் அல்ல. கர்த்தருடைய வேதத்தில் பிரியமாயிருக்க வேண்டும்.

5. இரவும் பகலும் தியானம். நிறைய பேர் பைபிள் படித்து கொஞ்ச நேரத்திலேயே, என்ன படித்தோம் என்பதை மறந்து போவார்கள். தியானிக்க வேண்டும். அதை கர்த்தரிடத்தில் பேச வேண்டும். அவர் சொல்லும் விளக்கங்களைக் கேட்டுக் கற்றுக்கொள்ள வேண்டும்.

இப்படி எல்லாம் செய்யும்போது, 3-ஆம் வசனத்தில் இருக்கிற ஆசீர்வாதங்கள் நம்மை வந்தடையும். ஒருவேளை, நாம் நியாயப்பிரமாணத்திற்குள் இப்போது இல்லையே, இயேசுவை நேசிக்கிறேன். அது போதாதா என்று நீங்கள் கேட்கலாம். ஆனால் உண்மையாகவே இயேசுவை நீங்கள் நேசித்தால், இதை எல்லாம் நீங்களாகவே செய்வீர்கள். 3-ஆம் வசனத்தின் ஆசீர்வாதம் இல்லாவிட்டாலும் செய்வோம். ஆமென். இயேசு கிறிஸ்துவின் மேலுள்ள அன்பை, நம் செயல்களினால் காட்டுவோமா?

Psalm 1:1-3

v.1 Blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor stands in the path of sinners, nor sits in the seat of the scornful;
v.2 but his delight is in the law of the LORD, and in His law he meditates day and night.
v.3 He shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that brings forth its fruit in its season, whose leaf also shall not wither; and whatever he does shall prosper.

It is easy to take verse 3 and say that the LORD is going to bless me thus. But the first two verses give 5 conditions to be met for this blessing.

1. Walk not in the counsel of the ungodly. But today, it is common for Christians to rely on the counsel of non-believers, especially when it comes to matters of education, businesses and other worldly matters.
2. Nor stand in the path of sinners. Of late, Christians accompany sinners to their sins, so that they could save some. You never know who will be touched, they say. But I know that you will be touched – by sin. For the Bible prohibits such a stand.
3. Nor sit in the seat of the scornful. Those who proclaim their moral debauchery without any remorse or sense of guilt are scornful. Christians listen to all their stories and then finally condemn them. No, you are not supposed to sit with them. Probably you may not be sitting with them personally, per se, but what about in front of your TV sets and computer?
4. Delight in the law of the LORD. A Christian who reads the Bible because he has to is not someone who delights in the law of the LORD. You read the Bible because it delights you. Are you reading the Bible like that?
5. Meditate day and night. Now, how many remember the Bible portion that they read that morning? Not many. Because they do not meditate on His law.

And if we do these five things, we will receive the blessings of Jesus Christ. But we are not under the Law, you say. We have to follow Christ, that’s all needed from us, you may wonder. True. And look at the first two verses again. If you truly love Jesus Christ, these five things you will be doing yourself. You won’t even need the blessings in the third verse. So, do you love Jesus Christ? Then let us show our love by our deeds.
